Why Airlift
A transpiler converts most of the SQL, but nobody can say which objects are actually safe: what was validated, against which snapshot, with which tool version.
Airlift keeps parity depth honest, then system-mints a signed migration certificate only when the object’s assigned readiness profile resolves to admitted evidence.
The go/no-go call lives in a checklist and a bridge call. Approvals are Slack messages; rollback is a plan in someone’s head.
Waves are governed state: cutover is structurally blocked until every object is certified and the configured approvals are collected. Rollback is a first-class governed action, not an apology.
Six months later, compliance wants the trail: who approved the wave, what evidence backed each object, what the converter version was.

The loop
Lakebridge Analyzer runs as a Databricks workspace job; the estate inventory, complexity, and report land as governed records with a pinned tool version.

The deterministic Lakebridge pass comes first. One typed, tool-less Harness repair candidate may follow admitted residue; every attempt carries immutable provenance.
Experiments evidence enters object-specific readiness tracks only through admitted principals and verified immutable references; the system derives the signed envelope.
The wave gate re-reads governed approvals. Signals only wake it. A client-certified effector checkpoints, applies once, verifies, and leaves uncertainty for reconciliation.
One governed export assembles the replayable evidence pack for a wave or an object, keyed by content digest in the audit stream.
